Message from the Headteacher
Together, home and school can create a strong partnership which can engender and nurture that essential aspect of children’s education, a love for learning, which is why we actively encourage your involvement.
Do come and see what Falconer’s Hill Infant School has to offer your child. We can guarantee you a very warm welcome.
FHIS Celebrating International Day of Peace
On Friday 21st September children at FHIS celebrated International Day of Peace. They created peace poetry, learnt about what being peaceful means and experienced Yoga.
We have had an amazing response to our latest Home Learning Challenge. Well done Everyone for your fantastically imaginative ideas!
All our KS1 children made poppy wreaths and visited the war memorial in the town in preparation for Remembrance Day.
We learnt a special song called ‘Wear a Poppy today’ which we sang in the school courtyard and we observed one minute’s silence at 11:00am. We then listened to a special poem called ‘Poppy, Poppy, what do you say?’ while gazing respectfully at our Tower of London poppies.
This term we are focusing on the value of Safety.
We planted poppies to remember the brave men and woman who fought to keep us safe.
