School Uniform
At Falconer's Hill Infant School, we believe that wearing a school uniform helps children to feel part of our school community and encourages a sense of pride and belonging.
Our school colours are red and grey. While branded uniform is available, it is not compulsory, and families are welcome to purchase plain items in the correct colours.
We ask all families to support our uniform expectations to help create a positive and consistent learning environment for all children.
Uniform
Children are encouraged to wear:
- Red sweatshirt or cardigan (with or without the school logo)
- White polo shirt
- Grey trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore dress
- Black school shoes
During the summer months, children may wear:
- Red and white checked or striped summer dresses
School-branded sweatshirts, cardigans, polo shirts, T-shirts, caps and woolly hats are available but are not mandatory.
PE Kit
On PE days, children should come to school with:
- T-shirt
- Jogging bottoms or suitable sportswear
- Trainers
Please ensure all PE kit is clearly labelled with your child's name.
Jewellery, Hair and Personal Items
To support health and safety within school:
- Jewellery should not be worn unless it is for religious purposes.
- Long hair should be tied back during PE and other physical activities where appropriate.
- Children should avoid bringing valuable items to school.
If your child requires any adaptations for religious or medical reasons, please speak to the school office.
Purchasing Uniform
School uniform can be purchased from the following suppliers:
School-branded items are available from both suppliers, although logo uniform is optional.
Second-Hand Uniform
A selection of good-quality second-hand uniform is often available from the school office.
Please contact the office if you would like to enquire about available items.
Labelling Uniform
Please ensure that all items of clothing, footwear and PE kit are clearly labelled with your child's name.
Labelling uniform helps us quickly return lost items and supports children in taking responsibility for their belongings.
Encouraging children to manage their own coats, jumpers and PE kit is an important part of developing independence and confidence, and clearly named clothing makes this much easier for both children and staff.
