✨Head of School Review of the Week ✨

Wow, what a week!

Thank you to all the families who joined us for our Nativity performances. The children were incredible—learning their lines, singing beautifully, and proudly showing off their fantastic costumes. It has been a joy to watch their confidence grow as they showcased our whole-school production of Prickly Hay.

A huge thank you to everyone who purchased Christmas ornaments and cakes to raise money for our partnership work in Uganda. We raised a total £245 to support school fees for the children we are linked with. Our pupils have loved learning about their partner child in Uganda and have enjoyed writing Christmas cards and letters to them. This is a special connection that we truly value.

We are also extremely grateful for your wonderful support at last week’s Christmas Fayre. Together, we raised £750 which will go towards new outdoor learning equipment. Thank you for helping to make this event such a success.

It has been a truly festive week in school.

We appreciate your continued support and look forward to another joyful week ahead.

Attendance Matters

Attendance is a priority concern as part of our commitment to safeguarding every child. We believe that children can only reach their full potential through regular, full-time education.

🎯Our Attendance Target

At Falconer's Hill Infant School, we aim for all pupils to achieve at least 96% attendance.

✅  Why 96%?
Pupils with 96% or higher attendance gain a significant advantage — that’s at least 62 more hours of learning compared to a child with just 90% attendance.

Let’s work together to support our children’s education and make every school day count!

This Week's Attendance
8th December - 12th December

Here’s how each class did this week with their attendance:

🌰 Chestnut – 94%
🍁 Sycamore – 97%
🌿 Ash – 83%
🍂 Maple – 78%
🌳 Oak –  95%
🌼 Willow – 92%

🏫 Whole School Attendance – 91%

🥇 Congratulations to SYCAMORE Class for achieving 97% attendance this week! You’ve earned the Attendance Cup! Well done!

Let's keep up the great attendance at our school — every day counts!

Attendance Reminder

We kindly ask all parents/carers to please make contact with the school as early as possible if your child is going to be absent from school. You can notify us by telephone (01327 702878), email (admin@fhis.inmat.org.uk) or Seesaw.

Early communication helps us keep our attendance records accurate and supports wellbeing for all students.

Thank you for your support & cooperation

✨ Friday 19th December – Cinema Trip & Christmas Party

We begin the Christmas holidays with a whole-school trip to the cinema to watch The Muppets Christmas Carol. We will then return to school for a Christmas party and a surprise visit from Santa!

Children may wear Christmas party clothes or a Christmas jumper. Please ensure they have appropriate footwear, as we will be walking to the cinema.

Wishing all our families a warm, festive, and joyful start to the Christmas season.
