Review Of The Week at FHIS

It’s been a positive and purposeful week here at FHIS!

The children have been busy celebrating Children in Need, enjoying a non-uniform day and generously donating chocolate treats for our upcoming Christmas Fayre.

This week, we also took time to mark Remembrance. The children created beautiful wreaths and joined together in a reflective whole-school assembly to share a minute’s silence — a truly important and moving moment for our school community.

We were delighted to welcome our Trust CEO, Helen Williams, along with members of the Trust Board, who visited our classrooms and saw first-hand some of the fantastic learning and creativity taking place across the school.

Finally, a quick reminder that next week is Parent Consultation Week. If you haven’t yet booked your appointment, please contact the school office or log in through the Parent Portal on Arbor to secure your slot.

Attendance Matters

Attendance is a priority concern as part of our commitment to safeguarding every child. We believe that children can only reach their full potential through regular, full-time education.

At Falconer's Hill Infant School, we aim for all pupils to achieve at least 96% attendance.

✅  Why 96%?
Pupils with 96% or higher attendance gain a significant advantage — that’s at least 62 more hours of learning compared to a child with just 90% attendance.

Respectful Language on School Grounds

We kindly remind parents, carers, and visitors to use kind and respectful language at all times on the school site. Swearing, hand gestures or unkind words are not appropriate, as we aim to set a positive example for our children and maintain a caring, welcoming environment for everyone.

We are excited to offer the following enrichment opportunities for our pupils.

🎬 Whole School Cinema Trip

All pupils will enjoy a festive cinema experience. 

🌿 EYFS Trip to Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm
📅 Trip Date: Thursday, 22nd January 2026
💳 Payment Deadline: Thursday, 8th January 2026
To extend children’s learning from their understanding of the world linked to life cycles and habitats.

Payments should be made via Arbor by the deadlines stated to secure your child’s place & ensure the trip can go ahead.
