Head Of School Message

🍂 Happy October Half Term 🍂

As we reach the end of our first half term, we want to take a moment to celebrate what a wonderful start it has been to the school year. The children have settled beautifully into their new classes and routines, showing great enthusiasm, kindness, and curiosity in their learning.

A special mention goes to our EYFS children, who have completed their very first half term at school! They’ve been busy learning their first 16 sounds, and many are already beginning to blend these into words — a fantastic achievement in such a short time.

This half term has been filled with exciting and meaningful events, including our spooky Halloween Disco, No Outsiders Day, International Day of Peace, and our joyful Harvest Festival. We also enjoyed our Whole School Values Treat — a cosy movie in the hall to celebrate everyone’s hard work and the positive way our children have demonstrated our school values throughout the term.

We are so proud of all the progress the children have made and the wonderful start they’ve made to the year.

Wishing all our families a lovely, safe half term break, filled with Autumnal fun, rest, and laughter.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 3rd November 2025 for another exciting term ahead!

Attendance Matters

Attendance is a priority concern as part of our commitment to safeguarding every child. We believe that children can only reach their full potential through regular, full-time education.

At Falconer's Hill Infant School, we aim for all pupils to achieve at least 96% attendance.

✅  Why 96%?
Pupils with 96% or higher attendance gain a significant advantage — that’s at least 62 more hours of learning compared to a child with just 90% attendance.

Introducing Our New Behaviour Flowchart

As a school, we continue to follow and teach our Behaviour Curriculum, which supports all children in understanding our expectations and making positive choices.

We are also introducing a Behaviour Flowchart — a simple, visual guide that outlines the process we use to manage and respond to behaviour across the school. This diagram helps to ensure consistency and clarity for staff, children, and parents, so that everyone understands how we work together to promote a calm and respectful learning environment.
