π October Half-Term Message from Miss Giles π
Dear Families,
What a very autumnal and wonderful first half-term we have had at Falconerβs Hill Infant School!
The children have worked so hard to learn our school routines, build friendships and settle into their classes. It has been lovely to see their confidence grow and to watch them embrace their learning. We are so proud of our wonderful children!
This week, it was an absolute joy to watch our Harvest Festival celebrations. There was so much singing, fantastic actions and plenty of smiles! Our EYFS children also proudly shared their very own handmade scarecrows, which were a wonderful celebration of their creativity. πΎ
A special thank you to our fantastic PTA for arranging the cakes, hot drinks and squash. Your support helps make these events so special for our school community.
As we reach the end of our first half-term, I would like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful children, our hardworking and dedicated staff team, and our families for your continued support. It really does take a team to ensure that our children feel happy, safe and loved, and I am incredibly grateful to be part of such a caring school community.
We have also had a positive start to the year with whole-school attendance, finishing this half-term at 95.9%. While this is just below our minimum target of 96%, thank you to all the children and families who have continued to make sure children are in school, on time and ready to learn. Every day really does count!
As we welcome the October half-term break, I hope you all enjoy a well-deserved rest, with plenty of autumn adventures, cosy moments and precious time together.
We look forward to welcoming you all back on Monday 2nd November for another wonderfully festive term, full of exciting learning, celebrations and special memories together!
Take care and enjoy the break.
Warmest wishes,
Miss Giles
