Head Of School – Review Of The Week
It’s been another busy and exciting week in school!
EYFS have been learning all about Autumn, exploring the changes in nature and creating some beautiful Autumn collage trees using leaves and natural materials they collected outside.
Year 1 enjoyed a fantastic outdoor learning day, where they practised their number bonds to ten in fun, hands-on ways. They also brought the story of Little Red Riding Hood to life by retelling it in the woods, making the tale feel wonderfully real and engaging.
Year 2 have been getting creative with press printing, experimenting with patterns, textures, and colours to produce some amazing artwork.
Across school, it’s also been our Read Write Inc. assessment week. All the children have been working hard to practise their phonics sounds and show how much progress they’ve made, ready to move into their new groups next week.
We would also like to say a huge thank you to all the families and parents who joined us for our Harvest Festivals. It was an exciting first performance of the year, and the children loved singing their harvest songs and reciting their autumn poems. Well done to all our wonderful children for their confidence and enthusiasm!
What a fantastic week of learning, creativity, and celebration across our school community.
