Head Of School – Review Of The Week
What a fun-filled and engaging week it has been at school! It's always a joy to see our children learning with such enthusiasm and curiosity.
In EYFS, our youngest learners have been exploring the wonderful world of 2D shapes. From circles and triangles to squares and rectangles, the children have been recognising, naming, and sorting shapes through a variety of hands-on activities. It’s been fantastic to see their excitement as they spot shapes in their environment and describe their properties with growing confidence.
Year 1 have been busy developing their understanding of whole-part models in maths. The children particularly enjoyed taking their learning outdoors this week, where they worked together to find two numbers that add up to a given total. Learning through play and nature has really helped to bring their maths to life!
In Year 2, creativity has taken centre stage as the children have been diving into the art of printing. They’ve been exploring different techniques and were especially fascinated by the ‘magic’ of carbon printing — watching their designs come to life was a real highlight!
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We look forward to another exciting week of learning ahead!
