Review Of The Week

Welcome Back!

We hope you all had a restful and joyful Easter break, filled with time to relax, recharge, and enjoy special moments with family and friends.

As we return for the new term, there’s a real sense of energy and enthusiasm in the air. This next chapter of the school year is always an exciting one, full of learning opportunities, personal growth, and memorable experiences for our pupils.

We have a busy and enriching term ahead, including our Year 1 school trip to the Think Tank Museum in Birmingham, our Year 2 school trip to Hunstanton and the Sea Life Centre, our PTA Pyjama non-uniform day and, of course, our annual Year 2 Big Sing at the Royal Derngate Theatre. We are confident our students will rise to every challenge with the determination and curiosity they’ve shown so far.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. Let’s make this a fantastic term together!

Warmest wishes,
Miss Giles

Yoga

A lovely start to the summer term with whole-class yoga sessions across the school.

Our children in EYFS have enjoyed returning to school and falling into this term's theme of 'Once upon a time'.

They have been getting creative this week by practising joining and fixing to make castles and by painting castles linked to the story of 'The Princess and the Pea'. They helped the princess to find half the different amounts of peas in the castle.

Look at our fun this week!

Attendance

Attendance is a priority concern in our duty to ‘safeguard’ children. We believe that children can reach their full potential only by receiving full-time education through regular attendance.

Our target

At FHIS we want to achieve attendance for all pupils of 96% or greater. This is a minimum of an additional 62 hours of learning achieved compared to that of 90% attendance.

23rd April - 25th April

Chestnut – 99%

Sycamore – 95%

Ash – 93%

Maple – 100%

Oak – 94%

Willow – 97%

Whole school – 96%

Upcoming Trip Payments Reminder

Just a gentle reminder about payments for our upcoming school trips.

Monday 19th May - Year 1 Think Tank Museum. The deadline for payment is Friday 25th April.

Friday 20th June - Year 2 Hunstanton & Sealife Centre - The deadline for payment is Friday 16th May.

Payment is to be made via Arbor. In the event we do not receive sufficient payment by the specified date, the trip may need to be cancelled, and a refund will be given.

Please contact the school office if your child is unable to attend, or you need assistance accessing Arbor.

Parker School Bus Bay

We have been made aware by The Parker School that the school buses are now collecting their students from the Parker (top site) bus bay and not at Randolph.

Please can we ask that the bus bay site is kept clear to allow the buses to safely park and collect the students. Can we ask parents not to park in the bus bay and use the Community Centre Car Park.

This ensures everyone's safety at busy times of the school day.

Thank you for your continued support.
