June 2017

This term our learning adventure has been Ocean Conservation. We have been looking at different creatures that belong in the sea. This week we have been writing instructions on how to make a porthole. We created under the sea landscapes and then wrote instructions. Here are some pictures of us trying out some instructions and the finished portholes!

April 2017

This week the chicks hatched! Some of us were lucky enough to see them hatch. After a few days old, we were able to hold them. Here is a photo of Ash class with the fluffy chicks.

March 2017

This week we have been learning about volcanos in Africa! We got the chance to make our own volcanos. We then did a science experiment and predicted whether our volcanos would erupt. Our predictions were correct and the volcanos erupted with foamy liquid. Check out the photos below!

This week was World Book Week. Ash class were given Australia as our country. The book we read was "No Room for baby Roo!". We experienced eating fairy bread, creating our own didgeridoo and building the harbour bridge.

February 2017

Our learning adventure for this term is Out of Africa. We have been looking at the book Meerkat Mail. Below is a photo of us acting out the scenes from the book. We looked being Meerkats!
